Baltimore Road Runners Club Recipient of National Award

We are pleased to announce that The Baltimore Road Runners Club (BRRC) was selected as the 2013 Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) Outstanding Website Award Recipient for its site,  This annual award by the national running association recognizes clubs that use technology to improve communications.

The site was designed and built by Snake Hill, the leading Baltimore-area Drupal developer.  The visually compelling site contains a rich array of Club information, including interactive Events Calendar and Race Results, as well as links to social media and the Club’s photo stream.

Tim Satterfield, President of BRRC, is excited that the Club has received this award.  “A team of dedicated volunteers worked hard to define the site and oversee development with Snake Hill, and then to keep the site up to date.  We are so pleased that the RRCA has recognized the good work of our volunteers and development partner.”

Daniel Schiavone, Founder and CEO of Snake Hill, had this to say about the website:  “BRRC knew what they wanted, and they needed easy updating.  We were happy to be able to design and build a site that was both visually appealing and could be managed by Club volunteers.”

RRCA criteria for this award is as follows: The website will be judged by the first impression, layout and graphic design, ease of navigation, use of technology, depth of content, up-to-date information, uniqueness, personality and contribution to the RRCA.”

All the 2013 National Running Award winners will be presented with a commemorative plaque at the RRCA National Running Awards Banquet on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Davenport Hotel in Spokane, WA.
